Sewing class: Let’s sew a quilted placemat with binding!
Looking for a creative way to spend a few hours, unwind with friends, and learn something new? Join us on Thursday, 13 November, where we’ll be making beautiful, practical quilted table placemat with Heattex batting and a beautiful binded border perfect for your home or as thoughtful handmade gifts!
This beginner-friendly project teaches some of the fundamentals of sewing, working with Heattex batting, add quilting and binding. Whether you’re new to sewing or just want a relaxing project to build your confidence, this is the class for you.

The class costs R580, and your kit includes:
- Pre-cut fabric, Heattex batting, thread and pattern with step by step instructions
- Step-by-step guidance from our experienced instructor
- A relaxed, friendly environment to get inspired
- Bring your own sewing machine if you have one, or arrange with us to rent a machine for the class!

We’re offering two sessions on Thursday, 13 November:
- 10:00 to 13:00 – Perfect for a morning creative break
- 17:30 to 20:30 – Ideal for an evening unwind after work
